Today was the official start of my half marathon training — so far, so good.
I am training for the San Dieguito Half Marathon (or maybe the Silver Strand Half Marathon). My favorite San Diego run these days is Mission Bay at low tide in my Vibrams during the San Diego sunset. I also enjoy beach runs, hill runs and trail races. I have been running about 5K every other day (not enough). So today I ran twice: One mile this morning and 5K this afternoon. I live one block from Mission Bay which is very convenient. The plan is to start off running shorter distances twice daily, in the morning and evening. Then I want to gradually increase my running distance. I have to learn to run through the pain … or rely on the Sandy Feet Running Tips page for injury prevention and half marathon training.
